1.

General




1.1.

The commissioning of the Company by the Client to carry out Home Boarding, Doggie Daycare or Pet Visiting assignments, whether verbally or in writing constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Business.


1.2.

The Company is registered under the Data Protection Act (no. Z2374391) and thus undertakes to treat all data about Clients and prospective Clients as strictly confidential, unless all parties agree otherwise.

2.

Our Agreement




2.1.

The Company agrees to supply Home Boarding or Pet Visiting services in accordance with a Brief provided by the Client, which may include the care of pets and other animals owned by the Client; and the maintenance of the house and house plants within reasonable limits.




2.2.

The Company will continue to provide these services throughout the duration of the Agreement even though the original Pet Carer may fall ill or be unable to continue on assignment for what ever reason.


2.3.

There are additional charges for all Bank Holidays including New Years Eve.


2.4.

The Company is unable to care for aggressive dogs, including those that have registered for exemption under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, or dog hybrids registered under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976.


2.5.

The Company reserves the right to refuse services to any Client without giving a reason.

3.

Payment


3.1.

The Client agrees to secure their booking with a non-refundable deposit of 25% following the meeting with Rovers and providing that Rovers meets with their approval.




3.2.


The Client agrees to settle the balance payment for such services one calendar month prior to the commencement of the assignment, unless the assignment was booked at short notice; in such cases, the Client agrees to settle the Company’s invoice in full before the assignment commences.


3.3.

In respect to long-term or on-going assignments, invoicing of fees can be set up on a monthly basis or in agreed installments.




3.4.


If payment is not received in accordance with these Terms of Business, the Company will not be obliged to honour any previously agreed arrangements.


3.5.

The full balance will be payable if a cancellation is received within one calendar month of the commencement of the assignment for boarding and feeding services, or within 48 hours for walking services.


3.6.




3.7

In the unlikely event that the Company has to cancel an assignment prior to its commencement, the Client will be given a full refund. The Company will also strive to help the Client make alternative pet care arrangements.

If the Client’s pet needs to visit the vet while in the care of the Company, additional charges will be payable.

4.

Insurance


4.1.


The Company, to ensure its Client’s peace of mind, covers its Employees with Public Liability and Pet Boarding Insurance.  All Independent Contractors also have Public Liability and Pet Boarding insurance.


4.2.


Where a Staff Member is required to drive a Client’s car, responsibility for the provision of appropriate insurance cover rests with the Client.




4.3.


It is agreed that it is the Client’s responsibility to adequately insure the property and its contents and any pets with an insurance company of good repute, and that such insurance shall continue for the duration of this agreement.


4.4.

The Company can not accept any liability for the loss of or injury to any pet.

5.

Miscellaneous


5.1.

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms of Business without notification to the Client.




5.2.

The Client is responsible for ensuring that neither their house and its environment, nor the work expected of the Staff Member, present any avoidable or unusual risks recognised by the Health and Safety Executive.


5.3.

The Client is responsible for ALL damages to the Company’s or Independent Contractor’s property.




5.4


It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that the Independent Contractor responsible for their assignment has the provided ‘Briefing’ form in order to make arrangements in the event of unforeseen circumstances and to ensure that the duties they require are carried out in accordance with their expectations.
